Hearth Studio

About Hearth Studio · A letter from the studio

A small studio,
built around craft and family.

We're a father and son who make software and websites together. Two desks, one studio. Every project goes through both of us.

The story

How we got here.

H earth Studio started the way good things often do — informally. The owner had been building software for two decades; his son had been making websites since he was a teenager. We started passing projects back and forth, then doing them together, then realizing we should give it a name.

We chose Hearth because it's what a workshop feels like when you walk in. Warm. Lit. Made of real materials. We wanted clients to feel that on the other side of the screen — not a startup, not an agency. Something quieter and steadier.

Today we work across photography, wedding venues, education, finance tools, and SaaS. Different industries, same approach. We pick projects we can stand behind, work directly with the people who own them, and ship work we'd be glad to put our names on.

How we work

Four small commitments.

None of this is novel. We just take it seriously, and we work that way every day.

01

Plain language over jargon

If a sentence sounds like a LinkedIn post, we rewrite it. We talk to clients the way we talk to each other — straight, with respect.

02

Built to last

Boring stacks, careful choices, no churn. The software we ship in 2026 should still be running, easily, in 2031.

03

Two heads, one studio

Every project goes through both of us. Different eyes catch different things — and we like working that way.

04

We answer the emails

No account managers, no ticket queues. You email us, we answer. Usually within a day, often within an hour.

The two of us.

Brad

Two decades of building product websites, SaaS platforms, and managing IT clients. Likes long-form code, careful databases, and the kind of project that's still working five years later — the parts of the web that wear well.

Started tinkering with websites and computers at eleven and never really stopped. Likes well-laid-out sites, beautiful photography, and pages that load before you notice they're there.
